Pendar cultural web magazine has started its work
since 2000 with the effort of some young Iranian
journalists and Internet pioneers. Today, Pendar is
considered as one of the most active and influential
web sites that is visited daily by a large number of
visitors all around the world.
Pendar does not belong to any group or party. Its
office is located in Tehran, Iran and its main goal is
to inform the Iranian community of the newest
developments in art and culture. Pendar's record
indicates that it has never entered any common
disagreements between cultural communities and has
tried to distribute cultural affairs as an impartial
observer.
Pendar articles include exclusive subjects compiled by
Pendar reporters, cultural news of various news
agencies, and "Half View" which links to the articles
on the other web sites.
Published articles on Pendar are not necessarily the
official view of Pendar or its staff. Pendar's view is
published in the editorial section of "Pendar Word".

Nima
Afshar Naderi, co-founder and Chief Editor of Pendar
website, started his media activities in the Iranian IT
societies and newspapers such as “Bamdad No”, “Norouz” and
“Hayat – e no” since 1998.
He is a computer alumnus and an Electronic Journalist based
in Iran. He is personally interested in fields in which
journalism and technology join together.
Nima was one of the 5 referees of “Weblog of the year”
contest in Iran for the past two years. He has also been a
member of the advisory board of the Persian version of “le
monde diplomatique” and he is currently managing Pendar
Cultural and Artistic Institute.
Ahmad Anvari
co-founded Pendar network with the vision of informing the
Iranian community of the latest cultural developments in
Iran and bringing Iranian intellectual groups together. He
has served as Pendar's chairman of the board and has
provided financial support for Pendar since the beginning.
Ahmad serves as the Chairman of the Board at FestiveArt.com,
an online resource for the original Persian art. He is the
founder of Iransource.com, a directory of Businesses in
Iran, as well as 7rooz.com, an online events database
targeting Persian community. He often talks about technology
at Haftegi Radio, which he co-founded in 2005.
Mr. Anvari holds a Master's degree in Information
Technology, Management of Software Systems Development from
Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Electrical
Engineering from Sharif University of Technology where his
main research focus was Information and Internet Technology.
Amin Rajaee,
Pendar's Technical Manager, joined Pendar in 1999. He
started developing Pendar’s technical base with his new
ideas. He designed and managed an online news agency system
project, which is now used by Pendar Persian and English
websites and Asia Financial Daily, asianews.com.
Amin has also worked with Iranian schools designing
Farzanegan high school website, when he was a university
student. Now “General Schools Website and Forum System” is
one of the products of Pendar Cultural and Artistic
Institute that has been designed by him. He's also the
creator of a Website package for book publishers and
libraries. The last project he managed was an online
practical test center designed for Iranian educational
institutes teaching ICDL skills.
He holds a BS in Software Engineering.
