TEHRAN (IAO) – In our previous news, there was an interview with Mohammad-Hashem Akbariani, the head of collection books of Oral History of Iranian Contemporary Literature, mentioned to the book of Leili Golestan to be published in the collection. Leili Golestan came to the Iranian Artists' Forum and we used this opportunity to talk about her latest works.
- Do you have a book for translation?
- There is a book that I had translated before, but it was necessary to revise it for some reasons. Let me not mention to the name of the book, it would be published in the autumn. I have another collection of pocket books about the visual arts and would be published coincidence with the international book fair.
There is also the collection of Oral History of contemporary Persian literature; I prefer it to other ones. The good point of this collection is that you can enter the world of authors and the questions are less about literature. I think it is attractive for the reader to know about emotions, relations and memories of the authors.
- Your translation from the book of Roman Gary has reached to the fourth publication.
- The fifth edition is being published. It was published in 1358, but it was banned. I was said to train the child of the book! I cannot train my own child, how can I train child of the book? All attraction of this book is because of child's bad words. After some time, Baztab Negar Publication took a license and only one sentence was deleted.
I have another book "Mira". It has also been welcomed by the readers. Good for me!
- Parviz Jahed published a book "Writing by Camera", it was an interview with Ebrahim Golestan. What do you think about the book of Jahed?
- I think it is a good one. But I do not agree with the style of the book. I am straightforward, but I am not impolite. I did not like some words of the book. But the whole ideas and quotations are correct. If he had told the words softer, it did not make the people so disturbed. Although Golestan is not so soft. He does not know how to be flexible.
- Really, are you still writing by Bic pen after 30 years?
- Yes. I have it in my bag. Do I show you?
- Why did you come to the Iranian Artists' Forum (IAF)?
- I wanted to talk to Behrouz Gharibpour about Kaveh Golestan Photojournalism Award.
- Will you hold the third ceremony of Golestan Award in IAF?
- God knows. We had a tour to Iran for the award of this year. We displayed the participant photos in all of the cities of Iran. It was highly welcomed. I think that the photographers form all parts of Iran would participate in this competition.
