USBTA’s Eastern Robot Rodeo (ENRR) introduces active members of military and public safety bomb squads to new technologies and products and gives them the opportunity to work hands-on with them in operations. Participants are able to provide real-time feedback (i.e., as part of an Operational Evaluation) to event facilitators and sponsors. This multi- agency event provides an opportunity for participants to network with other bomb technicians and exchange information on tactics, techniques, and procedures.

At USBTA’s Top Bomb Technical Critical Skills Challenge, Military and civilian bomb technicians test individual critical skills against other competitors, using a variety of tools and equipment provided by USBTA’s industry partners. This competition focuses on the individual knowledge, skills, and abilities that all bomb technicians need to be recognized as an individual at the top of their field. Technicians will also have an opportunity to see and use a variety of new tools and technologies supplied by vendors and provide feedback on that equipment.
